i say, how dare you naugrim, call yourself a Dark Elf indeed... what self respecting Dark Elf Lord would step out without an army of slaves to send into battle first.
Evll Abyss man. What are you thinking?
Wait until the Witches Coven hears about this sort of shenanigans. |

I have slaves 100 of them for only 800 points, 2 units of 50, but they are in the different city... so I couldn't make all together happy family shoot...
But when I paint these by the speedy painting... Ill join the slaves with the slave masters...
But who ll be a slave and who will be the master... I love Orcs...
BTW how to paint them I was thinking in red-orange-yellow, and lots of ink, wash, and dark armor... ??? _________________ "He who dies with the most unpainted metal miniatures wins."

I would definitely do something other than the traditional purple with dark armour look. That's been done way too much.
Redish orange with dark steel armour is a good scheme. I would do that and apply it religously to all models to give them a nice cohesive force. This is awesome, Naugrim .... with these models combined with my friend's dark elves, we'll be able to have epic dark elf battles. We could definitely have the classic high elf versus dark elf match ups ... they are typically a bloodbath. _________________ Thanks, Raj Dhillon |

When I had my dark elves they were painted black with scorpion green trim on cloth, silver armor with gold trim. I had bought them already painted and enjoyed the army for a while. Had a group of warriors actually stand up toe to toe with a unit of dwarf warriors once without running away in WFB. I was amazed. _________________

You could paint them in a light scheme - white clothing, golden armour and weapons, red or blue accents.
After all, evil doesn't have to dress up in Halloween colours. |

Thats true about light colors...
But I ll go to the orange look for rank and file and very shiny armor...
the night guard are
Because I ll like to keep them dark, in a blue color scheme but I don't know how it would look in the whole force...
And if they are dark it'll give the feel of a mind battle as well, you'll see the red ones but the dark ones (expensive ones) will past and make a killing blow to the enemy... _________________ "He who dies with the most unpainted metal miniatures wins."

Purple always seems to show up in a Dark Elf Host. |

Down with the purple... why purple... as some of the mins are already painted they are painted purple... Why...
For now I have:
35 Berserkers
30 pikmens
20 warrriors with 2weapons
20 helebardiers
20 Assasins
6Dark riders
12 Cavalery medium lance
14 Dark elf guard on foot....
Q: Those the units of Cavalry based on 6 have an impact on the game...

With long weapons thats 9 attacks, can it change the battle are they useful???
...and not to forget 100 Orc nicely painted slaves... _________________ "He who dies with the most unpainted metal miniatures wins."

Great looking army, Naugrim! I'm looking forward to grinding them into the dirt under the steel-plated boots of my high elves.
I have 6-8 dark elf riders in my army so maybe when you come over here, I can trade those for some dwarf models or something else? Also Fiend has another 20 pikemen, 20 crossbows, 25 warriors with dual weapons and 25 berserkers and a war hydra. Collectively, we could field a huge dark elf army.
As for units of cavalry in six ... I would rather field one unit of 12 myself. The reason is that six cavalry might cause a few wounds ... but they won't have the numbers to impose a heavy morale test. They will just bounce off most units. If you want a flanking support unit, I would just go with a monster rather than a small unit of knights. A small unit of knights can be useful to take out missile units though ... they are not a big loss if you lose them and can handle small missile units and unprotected artillary. _________________ Thanks, Raj Dhillon |

Also 3-wide units don't even count as RAF, they will count as Column formation.. so you may as well Skirmish them and be done with it. |
