Well, you did take a 720 point pike unit against an 840 point berserker unit, so the berserkers came in with an advantage. Granted it doesn't always work out like that in game because of differing abilities (berserkers are arrow-bait, pikes with shield are fairly resistant).
Then a bunch of the pikes didn't get to fight - against berserkers, it greatly improves the odds if you maximize your first strikes AND make it difficult to get around the flanks to minimize the number of berserker attacks.
Lets do it with 30 on each side with the 12 wide formation, the berserkers managed to get around the sides on the first turn. So 26 pikes attacks vs 20 berserkers in contact: 13 berserkers die, 7 berserkers make 21 attacks, 11 hits, 7 kills. pikes don't test, berserkers do at a -7/-3/-1/+1 = -10 from an 9 = -1. On an average roll (7) they miss by 8, but being over 15 wounds they lose 2 per point (16) leaving one very nervous berserker left.
Funny story... I bet its been 5 years since we've used the -1 penalty for superior units. I don't know why... Not looking forward to saturday...
Hey, can you spot the nasty rules lawyering way to protect your flanks in the above scenario? Better errata that. |

If skirmishers need to end their move with 12" of each other, but the unit they are engaging is already 12" across....no flanking for you...
12" rule needs to go away while they are engaged in combat. |

And a question how to make them even better, I plan of giving them very
1)watered down higlight on a cloth from Orange to yellow,
2)Then a light draybrush with silver on a chain mail...
3) 2 Highlights to a face finishing with white
4) And to a weapon I relay don't know... 2 highlight or to just make a silver line on edges...
I made this army in a quick time to a very good standard that article about speedypainting those like orcs creatures relay helped- Oropg I think...
And thats all folks hope you liked pictures... _________________ "He who dies with the most unpainted metal miniatures wins."

That army looks freading awesome ... and the fact you did that in under a week is unbelievable!!!
I can't wait to see that army on the other side of the gaming table facing my high elves. Talk about epic battles! Absolutely awesome.
Great colour scheme ... the orange looks really good and ties the army together beautifully. The models are very well detailed and the painting is very neat and controlled.
One suggestion would be to apply some static grass to the bases in a few patches. I think that would add some green colour to the bases that I think would really help. Apply static grass and then drybrush that grass with a light khaki or desert yellow to give it a realistic dry grass look.
Great job. _________________ Thanks, Raj Dhillon |

1 WEEK?!!
I can barely get 1 unit prepared for priming in one week!
They're painted amazingly neat and clean (especially considering the speed you must have painted them at) and are really something to be proud of!
My favorites are the Berserkers and the Wizards; I just love that skin tone you have on them! |

Thanks Raj/Shinryu, the army really looks good but now on with the details to make it really great...
I dry brushed the bases with yellow, 2 shades, and put some green grass on the horse base and when I made the green grass yellow it looked
So I ll, probably today make a lot of fine work on some of my units, and will purchase the Berserker Dragon from the line, were you put your Lord of High elfs to ride a Dragon, that will personalized my force even more...
Here is a nice fire elementals...
... Who says that Josip and Marry cant be in AOA...

Awesome use of the xmas models Naugrim. I'm not sure if the Poope would agree with their fiery circumstances but for AoA they work nicely.
I see it that they are bringing a certain purification and rest to uneasy troubled spirits with a cleansing fire. |

And I still have a little baby Jesus, I can make him as a 3rd fire elemental or to make him as a water one, Or to be on the safe side, to save my soul for burning in hell I can just leave him in my bits box...
In AOA I relay love how my mind and my imagination can run wild, I would probably never done this, and belive me my Josip and Marie look much better in real size, they are a true center pices, and it was easy, a small amount of white stuff, and Vola, great looking and cheap Fire elementals...
BTW I relay feel as a hobbyst, even if I dont play a lot... For now at least...
