I believe Thane has stepped out of the miniature business .... he's currently looking for someone else to buy his miniature range.

If you want to buy miniatures, try emailing him ... if you want to buy the AoA book, PM me or buy direct from Terrain Warehouse. Let me know if you need their website link.

damn. I really liked his mini's.

well, maybe if we're lucky the guys from Mighty armies will buy up the miniature line. They already had a deal with the guy from Splintered light minis.

yea i'm not sure what he's been up to, i don't talk to him much i just remember his site and ended up here. If he is still selling his game, i'm going to try and help him get more people into it.

Hi Zack,

Welcome to the forum. I believe Thane has sold his miniature line to another member of this forum, who is now producing them. I believe the company name is Lone Gunmen Miniatures ... if anyone wants, I'll find a link to the site.

In terms of the rules for AoA, they're being sold by Terrain Warehouse, a UK company that has also produced a new edition (5th edition) of the rules. It didn't change much of the rules but did put the rules in a proper, full colour format with a great look to it.

Has someone compiled a definitive list of 4th/5th edition errata & clarifications? I'm exploring the possibility of trying to pick up AoA again and my last attempt at getting steady gaming partners in my area was back in 2006/7. (ordering from the UK from Seattle is a real PITA, and I already have two copies of the 4th Ed rules ...)

Hey Togashi, welcome back to the forum.

You can order some copies of the 5th edition book if you like from Zinkala ... he's in Canada but can drive to the US border and ship from there. Alternatively, I have a few books left over and can ship you one if you like.

In terms of changes from 4th to 5th ... there isn't a list of changes yet. To be honest, there weren't very many changes ... just more clarrifications than anything else. The new web site has all the army lists ... a few very minor corrections in them, but not much really.

The 5th edition book just looks a lot better, is better organized and has all of the new monsters, vehicle rules, scenario rules and other items that were posted on the old AoA web site by thane.

They are still all Thane's and it will be up to him to decide what's done with them.

Hi Zack, I've always thought that it's kind of interesting that we don't have any of Thane's old players on here. I've heard that down there he has big groups and lots of players. I always wanted to hook up with the groups that he established but never knew how.

HI there,

Does anyone have any contact information for Thane? I would like to talk to him about the sci fi games, and the thane@thanegames email is no longer working...

You could try sending him a private message through this forum ... he used to reply to private messages very quickly but i haven't tried in a while so it may not work.

His username is thanesgames
