Just undercoated them in plain, thick black, but it's because of the special nature of this miniatures. If you want hints for painting epic armies, just go to the tactical wargames forums. I'm sure they will be better able than me to guide you.

In other ways, i finally managed to finish another giant!

7 more to go (oh my...)

One of the reaper giants is the one I've picked to use as a Titan for my Graccans (he's going to be the last thing I do). Wish I could remember which one it was though...

That one looks fantastic!

urock

Did the model come with the fur kilt or did you sculpt that with putty? It looks great.

It is as is: my sculpting habilities are non-existant (although i plan to model an Old One and a Shoggoth from Cthulhu fluff, 28 mm scale).
In fact there are a lot of Reaper giants who wear a fur kilt. Just take a look at the slender rock giant in the previous page.

Dammazkron: i think you are talking about the fire giant, which id the one who wears some kind of greco-roman armour. I'm waiting for the Battleforge to make some titans, as i think that a far bigger (and stylized) miniature will better represent a titan. Maybe something like this:

Very Happy

Aye but without his wang out.

Personally I always pictured the Titans as rather primitive looking, being as they were around as early as/before the Gods.

But a proper Greek looking Giant would find its way very quickly into my collection Smile

It's a Reaper Giant. All of them are Reaper (except the first one, which was GW). Anyway, maybe you should wait for Battleforge's giants. They are supposed to be awesome!

Hopefully BF's giants are ready soon ... I'm not sure when they're supposed to be released, though I've heard it's soon.

Another option is the company Ultraforge, which makes an interesting war giant that is very large. Not very regal but it could work as a scraggly, unkept Titan.

Just a new one: Gunther the Fire Giant!

And behind him, you can see the next one to be painted. 6 more to go!

Awesome! He has a slightly Simmian appearance ... due to the skin tone and general features of the miniature, he reminds me a little of King Kong but more human shaped and wearing armour. A little like the guys from Planet of the Apes.

Red and green offer great contrast ... excellent colour selection. the armour looks good.

What type of base are you putting them on ... are they 75mm by 75mm or 50mm bases?

Well,i just copied the colour scheme from a picture Embarassed which comes with the model. It's strange that the same picture is no available at reaper's site.

And yes, he has a rude face. In fact i call him "Aragones", because he strongly reminds me the latest spanish soccer team trainer Very Happy

I have an exam next week so i suppose the frost giant's painting is getting frozen lol , at least for some time

Finished this pair last week:

But job is, as always, interfering. Also, it seems that my left had is somehow damaged (tendinitis, maybe?), so maybe i will not be able to paint for some days. It's a shame because i only have 4 more giants to go.

Nice pair of frost giants.

I like the blue skin but the grey and brown cloth sections seem to be al ittle flat. I think another highlight stage on each would help a lot.

Thinking about it ... shouldn't there be stats for fire giants, frost giants and so on? In the same way as there are for fire dragons, ice dragons, etc?

Better not. It will take me too much money to arrange such an army Very Happy

BTW, i tried to get the clothes that depth feeling. In fact the giant's grey shirt has got some 4 different coats of grey, but it seems i can't manage. Maybe i should do something drastic to them.

Now for the job, i deviated a little bit and ended painting this:

But i convinced my friend Chariot to paint one of the giants for me!

Doesn't she look great? i think the guy should paint all my stuff lol

Well that's all for now. 3 more to go!
